Teachers at HJIS:

Possible Duties at HJIS

  • IB Project (eg. Personal Project or Extended Essay) supervisions
  • Supervision of student service projects and/or clubs
  • Office Hours
  • Advisory System
  • Active supervision of students
  • Participation and/or organization of school events, field trips and Expedition Weeks
  • Substitution, as necessary
  • Conducting online/hybrid lessons, as necessary

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Teaching Experience

  • 3+ years of teaching experience with secondary learners
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related subject
  • (Preferred) Knowledge and understanding of the IB MYP and DP frameworks
  • (Preferred) Experience working in an international school

Digital Literacy and Technology Skills

  • Google suite
  • Zoom
  • Managebac
  • Smartboard technology
  • Apple products (e.g. Macbooks, iMacs, etc.)
Working Hours Working Days
8:00am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday
