PYP Librarian

Position is responsible for providing all students with an enriched library environment containing a wide variety of materials that will invite intellectual growth and research and to aid all students in acquiring the skills needed to take full advantage of library resources.

  • Supporting the mission, vision and philosophy of the HJIS
  • Determining the school’s need for resources by conferring with teachers and administrators
  • Assisting teachers to gauge resources needed for IB programmes or various projects and provide suggestions on materials and resources that can be used.
  • Assisting students with reference work, selection of books, online reference searches, computer use in the library and student testing.
  • Coordinating set-up of special events and book fairs in the library.
  • Maintaining circulation records for library books, reference materials, periodicals and textbook depository.
Working Hours Working Days
8:00am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday
