PYP Homeroom Teacher

Horizon Japan International School seeks an experienced, dynamic, and flexible PYP Homeroom Teacher to build and maintain a successful Primary Years Programme (PYP) within the school by providing an educational atmosphere conducive to learning and developing through the process of inquiry. PYP Homeroom Teacher’s Responsibilities include:

Supporting the mission, vision and philosophy of the HJIS
Demonstrating qualities describes in the IB learner profile and believes in the importance of cultivating in students these same qualities
Demonstrating through collaboration, planning, and teaching, the IB and PYP framework of concepts within contexts, and an inquiry-based learning that is balanced leading learning towards the IB vision and the aims of transdisciplinary learning
Reinforcing and promoting a safe, disciplined and positive classroom environment
Differentiating and targeting learning to students’ needs, and cognitive and aptitude levels
Working and collaborating with EAL and student support teachers to enrich curriculum and student learning

Working Hours	Working Days
8:00am – 4:30pm	Monday-Friday
