Early Years Daycare Teacher (Immediate Hire)

Horizon Japan International School is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and qualified Full-Time Daycare Teacher to join our team. This individual will be mainly responsible for caring for students after dismissal until 6 pm, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. There will be other teaching duties before the dismissal time. The ideal candidate will possess a teaching certificate suitable for younger ages and demonstrate a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children in various activities, including playtime, snack time, and homework assistance.
• Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities to promote the physical, cognitive, and social development of each child.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care, following established protocols and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child’s day and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Collaborate with other daycare staff to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions as required.
• Fulfill other teaching duties before the dismissal time, as assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certificate suitable for working with young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• (Preferred) Previous experience working in a daycare or early childhood education setting.
